Terms of Service

Effective July 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kennto, a language-learning app operated by Vicente Guedes, an individual, not (yet) a registered company (referred to here as "Kennto", "we", or "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using Kennto, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Kennto is a language-learning tool built around live, AI-generated practice (Conversation, Listening, Study, Translate, and Flashcards), calibrated to the proficiency level you declare. Because practice content is generated by AI rather than hand-authored, it may occasionally contain errors, awkward phrasing, or inaccuracies. Kennto is a practice tool, not a certified translation, assessment, or language-certification service, and shouldn't be relied on for legal, medical, immigration, academic, or other high-stakes decisions.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kennto. If your country sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services without parental involvement, you must meet that age, or use Kennto with a parent or guardian's involvement. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate account information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Kennto for any unlawful purpose, or to generate or submit illegal, abusive, or harmful content
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Kennto's systems
• Scrape, systematically extract, or resell Kennto's content or underlying data
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the prompts or models behind Kennto's AI features
• Share your account with others or use it beyond reasonable personal, non-commercial practice

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Plans and billing

Kennto currently offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. If and when paid Pro subscriptions become available for self-service purchase, the pricing, billing cadence, and cancellation terms will be shown to you at checkout and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Your content

You retain ownership of the text, audio, and other content you submit to Kennto (for example, messages you type or say during practice). You grant us a license to process that content, including sending it to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide and improve the service to you.

Our content

Kennto's software, branding, and the Kenny character and artwork are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission. AI-generated practice content is provided for your personal learning use.

Disclaimers

Kennto is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated content may be incorrect; use your own judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vicente Guedes won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kennto. Our total liability for any claim relating to Kennto is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using Kennto at any time; email privacy@kennto.io to request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
